Conversations For Change

About Charly

Theatre was my first personal experience with the therapeutic value of communication and action as a means of transformation, and it led me to start work in the healing professions in 1976. I have been employed as a counselor in various capacities since then, including a private psychotherapy practice for more than a decade in Northern California. I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling from Sonoma State College and have received excellent professional training, but my best teachers have always been my clients.

I began the transition from psychotherapy to coaching in 2002, when I started Conversations For Change as an email personal growth program. The most rewarding part of my psychotherapy practice had been with clients who had moved beyond crisis and were ready to focus on personal growth issues. Coaching provides me the opportunity to do what I enjoy the most: supporting motivated people to accomplish desired changes and attain their goals.

My toolbox has gotten larger the past several years and allows me to tailor the coaching experience to each individual's need and orientation. The field of energy psychology offers new approaches to manifesting what you want in your life. Tapping techniques, energy medicine, and application of the laws of attraction provide additional resources.

I feel privileged to participate in the transformational journey of my clients. To learn about how I approach my work, visit the  Weekly Tidbits page.

"...... medicine is not just a bunch of herbs or the training a physician receives. It's helping people attain that which is good in life. If you can point in a new direction, saying this is the path, this is the way to go, that is a form of healing. When you give a lifting hand and make someone feel better for it, you've given that person medicine."
