1. Life Skills Coaching
Coaching is a collaborative experience. It involves learning about the process of growth and change for you as an individual and using that knowledge to achieve your goals. Not everybody learns the same way. We will work together to discover how you learn best and apply that knowledge to further your progress.
Homework is an important part of the coaching process. You will have specific assignments that will build skills and move you step by step toward the realization of your desired changes. Having someone to be accountable to provides motivation for success.
A coach can offer insights, perspective and support to help you gain clarity and momentum when you feel stuck or uncertain. The purpose of coaching is to deepen knowledge, provide useful tools, and move you toward the accomplishment of your goals. I am the consultant with the know how and encouragement to help you get where you want to go. Part of my philosophy is that the process of getting there can be fun, so expect some laughter as we work together.
Coaching is often done on the phone, so it saves time and travel expense. If you live in Northern California, a face to face session is also an option.
2. Email Program for Personal Growth & Support
Writing is a way of healing.To express thoughts and feelings about our lives is a satisfying process that can help us understand more about ourselves. To share those self expressions with someone you trust and who holds the intention of your highest good can provide the support needed to help deal with life's challenges and make desired changes.
Conversations for Change Email Program provides support and encouragement, direction, accountability, and compassionate confrontation for you to further your chosen goals or establish new ones from the convenience of your home at hours that work for you.
3. Wellness Movement / Energy Coaching
As a life skills coach, my intention is to help people to accomplish their goals. When we find that we are unable to manifest what we truly want, it is sometimes because our energy is literally as well as figuratively blocked. Such blockages can generate depression, anxiety, physical illness, patterns of addictive behavior and an infinite number of other life problems.
In my career as a licensed psychotherapist in California, I primarily used talk therapy to address these issues. When physical problems began to interfere with my life and traditional medicine proved ineffective, I was lead to explore alternative approaches to wellness. My work now is a blend of verbal and cognitive approaches to assist in clarifying goals and formulating strategies for change combined with teaching energetic healing techniques drawn from a variety of approaches.
Wellness Movement consists of energizing and healing exercises that improve mood, posture, strength, and flexibility. The movements primarily draw from Energy Medicine, Yoga, and the Alexander Technique. They are helpful in alleviating chronic pain and stimulating right brain / left brain crossover to improve thinking ability. Participants will learn exercises they can practice on their own to increase positive feelings and reduce stress.
